GROUP CLASSES


The group classes are rooted in traditional sequences proposed by the great yogic masters B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois, and
T. Krishnamacharya, as well as my master Julie Giacomini, and my own practice and teachings. The goal of this class is to develop a regular and sustainable practice that leads to progress on the physical and mental plane by preparing the body through proven methods.

Yoga is foremost a practice of the mind. We practice in silence, following the rhythm of the breath. At most, I might propose soundscapes that sharpen your focus and that facilitate turning inwards.

We meet for a 1 hour practice on Thursdays at 18h at 18 rue du Commerce, 34000, Montpellier. The Shala opens at 17:45, so you have time to get changed and to settle. Bring light and comfortable clothes and a mat, if you have one.

FAQ

Are the classes suited for beginners ?
Absolutely. The sequences taught are specifically for beginner and intermediate practitioners, and are perfect if you’re starting or getting back into practice. I provide suggestions for modifications and variations of postures to accommodate your current needs.

I have an injury / a medical condition, can I come ?
Please discuss any medical matters with your doctor and get their approval before attending the class. Inform me about any injuries, pains, or discomforts you are experiencing at the beginning of the class. Please let me know in case you had any operations of the spine. Feel free to approach me privately or send me a message beforehand, if you’re more comfortable that way ! You’re welcome to practice with us :).

Are the classes also for men ?
Absolutely. Men feel comfortable in my classes and are welcomed by the group. The practice is for both male and female bodies and minds. In fact, many of the greatest yogic masters were men.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat ?
If possible, bring your yoga mat or any mat that you feel comfortable practicing on. If you don’t have any, there are some mats you can use.
